Across 462,917 UK Biobank adults tracked for about 14 years, those who felt lonely had a higher risk of degenerative heart valve disease. Living alone or being socially isolated did not carry the same risk.

Organ age clocks: a blood test for 40 cell types
Stanford researchers measured 7,000 blood proteins in 60,542 people to estimate the biological age of more than 40 cell types. Aged cells flagged Alzheimer's, ALS and lung cancer risk years ahead. It is a research tool, and an estimate.

p-tau217 blood test estimated 5-year Alzheimer's risk
Pooling 2,684 older adults with no memory problems from six studies, JAMA reported those with the highest blood p-tau217 had about a 38 percent chance of decline within five years. They were research volunteers, so it may not generalize.
