About
Transparency
Who runs this, where the money comes from, and how the articles get made. Where something is not yet true, this page says so rather than describing what we intend.
Ownership and independence
Live Well News is independently operated. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any supplement company, pharmaceutical company, clinic, laboratory, or health product retailer, and it has no institutional or academic sponsor. No outside party has any right of review over what we publish.
We are not a party to any arrangement that would give anyone advance sight of an article, a veto over a conclusion, or a say in what we cover. If that ever changes, it belongs on this page before it belongs anywhere else.
How we are funded
Advertising and newsletter revenue are the intended model. As things stand:
- No advertising is currently served on the site.
- No affiliate links, and no commission. We do not earn anything if you buy a supplement, book, test or service we have written about, and we do not use affiliate networks.
- No sponsored content, ever. We do not publish paid articles, paid placements in articles, guest posts, or "partner content", labelled or otherwise.
- No paid links. We do not sell links, and we decline every request to insert one.
- Nothing has been paid for coverage. We have taken no money, product, travel or hospitality in exchange for writing about anything.
When advertising does start, it will be labelled as advertising, kept physically separate from editorial content, and sold by people with no say in what we cover. We decline advertising for misleading health products and unproven treatments; the standing rules are on the Advertise page.
How the articles are made
We use AI tools to help draft and structure articles from the underlying sources, and a person edits and fact-checks every article before it publishes. We think readers are entitled to know that plainly rather than to work it out.
What that does not mean: AI is never the reason a claim appears in an article. Every cited sentence is checked back against the text of the paper it points at, and anything that has drifted from what the source says is rewritten or cut before publication. Sources are never generated, suggested or filled in from memory - a citation exists because someone put the paper there. The full set of rules every article is held to is on our Editorial standards page, and the About page explains how a study earns an article in the first place.
Sourcing and conflicts in the research we cover
We report on other people's studies, and those studies have funders. Where a trial was paid for by a company with an interest in the result, that is part of the story and we say so. Where a finding rests on a single study, we say that too, rather than writing it as settled.
We do not have financial interests in the compounds, drugs, devices or diets we write about. Nobody on the editorial side holds a position in a company whose product they are covering.
Corrections and accountability
Substantive corrections are marked on the article and logged publicly on our Corrections page; typographical fixes are made silently. We do not quietly delete or rewrite a piece we got wrong. To report an error, email [email protected].
Every article carries a byline linking to the author page accountable for it, and the date it was last reviewed.
Your data
What we collect, and what we do with it, is set out in our Privacy policy and Cookie policy. We do not sell reader data.
What we would tell you
The point of a page like this is the list of things that would have to appear on it if they were ever true: a sponsor, an affiliate arrangement, an owner with a stake in a health company, a payment for coverage, an advertiser with a say in editorial. None of them are true today. If one becomes true, this page changes first.

Common questions
Who owns Live Well News?
Live Well News is independently operated and is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any supplement company, pharmaceutical company, clinic, or health product retailer. It has no institutional or academic sponsor.
Do you use AI to write articles?
We use AI tools to help draft and structure articles from the underlying sources, and a person edits and fact-checks every article before publication. AI is never the reason a claim is in an article: every cited sentence is checked back against the paper it points at, and anything that has drifted from the source is rewritten or cut.
Do you make money if I buy something you write about?
No. We carry no affiliate links and take no commission on any product, supplement or service mentioned on the site. We publish verdicts concluding that popular supplements do not work, which is not a business model that survives commission.
Are you running advertising?
Not currently. Advertising and newsletter revenue are the intended model. When ads run they will be clearly labelled, kept separate from editorial, and will not influence what we cover or conclude.
Has anyone paid you to cover a topic?
No. We have never accepted payment, product, travel or any other consideration in exchange for coverage, and we do not accept guest posts or sponsored articles. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page and on the article itself.
How do I report an error or a conflict I think you have missed?
Email [email protected]. Errors are corrected in public and logged on the corrections page. If you think we have a conflict of interest we have not declared, we would particularly like to hear it.
